COLLEGE INFORMATION

Hello Senior families. As we are entering college application season, it is important for your student to be utilizing Naviance to complete important college application tasks. In Naviance, students must request transcripts and letters of recommendation from teachers for their college applications. If a student is applying to a school via the Common Application, they must also complete a Common App Matching process in Naviance. Here are three videos that provide a demonstration on completing these tasks:

Counselors will be available in the Career Center next week to help guide students through this process, on Tuesday, October 16 during all three lunches, and again on Thursday, October 18 after school from 2:30-3pm.
This is also the time of year to be completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All students who plan to attend postsecondary education must complete the FAFSA in order to be eligible for all types of financial aid to include scholarships, grants, loan, and work study. NEW THIS YEAR, FAFSA now has a mystudentaid app available for iOS and Android phones. Download the app today to get started. Or, visit the full FAFSA website at www.fafsa.gov.
