General Risk Reduction Guidelines

To help maintain a healthy campus AHS is asking all students and employees to do their part by following these CDC risk reduction practices below:

  • Stay home if you have a cough or fever.

    • Student temperatures will be checked each day upon arrival.  Stay home if you have a fever. Normal temperature should be less than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Practice physical distancing.

    • Stay at least six feet apart.

    • Close contact is considered 15 minutes or more together in a confined space and not physically distanced (either party unmasked at any point)

  • Wear a face covering, even outdoors if you cannot maintain a six-foot distance from others 

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • Utilize sanitizer dispensers around campus when hand washing is not possible

  • Disinfect frequently touched objects (phones remotes, keys, computers, etc.)

  • Avoid unnecessary contact, including hugs and handshakes.

  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or sleeve (into elbow).

  • If you think you have been exposed to Covid-19 and are experiencing symptoms

    • Students: Stay Home. Contact our campus nurse at 360-618-6315 and call your primary care provider.

    • Faculty and Staff: Stay Home. Contact your supervisor immediately, contact our District Nurse at 360-618-6286 and contact your primary care provider.
